Soft Serve is inspired by the gentler side of summer - the kind that unfolds slowly, without
urgency.
At its heart, the collection is an exploration of linen as a living textile. Handwoven and dyed
in Bhagalpur, the fabric breathes easily, softens with wear, and carries the subtle irregularities
that only slow craft can produce. Onto this canvas, Mrida introduces hand-designed block
prints - playful florals, fruits, stripes, and everyday motifs – block-printed in-house with
deliberate restraint and warmth.
What makes Soft Serve distinctive is its balance. The colours are cheerful but softened. The
prints are expressive but never loud. Lace borders, tassels, crochet trims, and pom-pom
details are added by hand, not as ornamentation, but as moments of touch and movement.
Each saree takes 10–15 days to complete, reflecting Mrida’s belief that everyday clothing
deserves the same care as heirloom pieces. Designed not for spectacle but for living, these
sarees are meant to be worn intuitively - at home, at work, on slow afternoons, and sunlit
mornings.
